BASI Ski Instructors

BASI - the British Association of Snowsport Instructors. Ski instructors can obtain qualifications through BASI which enable them to teach in the UK and worldwide. Instructors can be qualified in five disciplines: Alpine, Snowboard, Nordic Cross Country, Telemark and Adaptive.

BASI is represented within and is part of the ISIA - the International Ski Instructors Association, which means that the BASI qualification will be recognised in over 30 different member countries worldwide.

All BASI ski instructors will have been trained and tested in English, so you will be safe in the knowledge that your teacher will be an English speaker.

The industry standard qualification for British Instructors is BASI - British Association of Snowsports Instructors - and many of the instructors listed will hold this qualification. Some instructors may hold qualifications issued by the country in which they are working. Details of qualifications held by each instructor are supplied in their individual listing.
